Abraham Kurnia Hermawan is an Indonesian Registered Intellectual Property Consultant whose practice covers a broad range of intellectual property matters, with a particular focus on patents and industrial designs. He advises local and international clients on intellectual property protection, prosecution, portfolio management, and related advisory matters, including patent and industrial design prosecution, patent drafting, patentability assessment, patent specification translation, infringement analysis, and intellectual property-related searches.
Abraham has extensive experience representing multinational corporations, publicly listed companies, start-ups, research institutions, universities, and individual inventors in protecting and managing their intellectual property rights in Indonesia. He has handled matters across a broad range of technologies, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, telecommunications, electronics, software, artificial intelligence, medical devices, chemical inventions, and consumer products. He regularly advises foreign associates and overseas clients on Indonesian intellectual property law and practice, coordinating cross-border matters and developing practical prosecution strategies tailored to clients’ commercial objectives.
In addition to his professional practice, Abraham actively contributes to the intellectual property community by delivering presentations and sharing practical insights with companies and fellow practitioners. He has also co-authored a number of publications on intellectual property law and practice. Abraham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universitas Pancasila and is an Indonesian Registered Intellectual Property Consultant. He has completed various professional certifications in intellectual property, including the Advanced International Certificate Course on Intellectual Property Asset Management, jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
